Dr. Beech is Board-Certified in Forensic Psychiatry, a subspecialty of psychiatry defined as the application of psychiatric knowledge and expertise into a non-clinical (usually legal) setting. Dr. Beech has conducted forensic evaluations to assess competence, criminal responsibility, workplace safety, psychiatric malpractice, disability, and fitness for duty. He has provided testimony in state and federal courts. He has also conducted independent evaluations for a variety of institutions and agencies including the Ohio Supreme Court and the State of Ohio Medical Board.
